“For years I have volunteered with an urban mentorship program for youth from Chicago’s most challenging neighborhoods and I have become convinced that my generation must bring the highest quality public education to every corner of our nation’s cities in order to raise up transformative urban leaders for the future. The Broad Residency will launch me into this challenge and afford me the opportunity to be part of the solution.”

Bryce Bowman currently serves as director of operations and real estate for LEARN Charter Network of Schools in Chicago. Prior to joining The Broad Residency, Bowman held several director-level real estate and investment roles with the Chicago offices of Randolph Equities, a Private Equity firm, and SMB Asset Advisors, an asset management firm. Prior to these positions Bowman founded a real estate development firm which acquired and developed a portfolio of assets ranging from multi-family, retail, restaurant and office spaces. In all of these positions Bowman has served as project manager and lead developer on a variety of multifaceted investment and commercial real estate transactions across the Midwestern and Southeastern United States. During his military career, Bowman held various leadership positions in Germany and Kosovo during which time he led a staff which managed facilities, equipment, and financial budgets for 3,000 basic training recruits and soldiers. Bowman holds a bachelor’s degree in American politics with a systems engineering minor from West Point and a master’s in business administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.
